My take…
The Press is supposed to have an adversarial relationship with the Government.
It is supposed to act as Watchdog.
It is supposed to uncover abuse of power in all its forms and report it to the People.
That’s its Mandate.
Press Freedom / Free Expression and the Right to Vote in the United States of America are under attack at levels seen only in countries standing at the abyss of Fascism and Totalitarianism.
Do we think it can’t happen here?
