So, Joe, you wrote an op-ed stating you are a ‘No’ for the voting rights bill – For the People Act. You say, Joe, you’re against the legislation because it ran through the House without Republican support. Now, Joe, you know Republicans had a chance to vote for the bill, and they did. You also know, Joe, that not a single House Republican voted in favour of the bill.
Moreover, Joe, you are the only Democratic senator who has publicly voiced a refusal to be a co-sponsor of this important piece of legislation, and, Joe, your buddy Senator Mitch McConnell, who is the least bipartisan senate majority/minority leader in U.S. history if not in the history of the Whole Wide World, has said his caucus is a definite ‘No’ as well.
And let us not forget, Joe, the people you want so desperately to appease backed a coup attempt following the 2020 elections. They not only supported the terrorist attack on the Capitol of the United States of America but also stopped, by a minority vote, an independent, bipartisan investigation into that armed right-wing domestic terrorist attack; you know, the one where at least five people died, including a Capitol Police Officer, and other officers were seriously injured. Yeah, that one, Joe.
