On a call with staffers on Monday, Donald Trump attacked the nation’s leading infectious disease expert and member of the White House coronavirus task force, Dr Anthony Fauci, calling him a “disaster”. Trump complained that “people are tired of Covid”; he added, “people are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots”.
On Sunday, Dr Fauci made clear during an interview that he was not at all surprised that Trump caught the virus because of ‘his activities in the days before he developed symptoms’.
The one thing about Trump that can be said without doubt or much research is that he is consistent; consistently unhinged.
