The House of Representatives voted 232 to 190 to pass the Save the Internet Act to restore net neutrality. All 190 no votes were cast by Republicans; one Republican voted with Democrats.
On the other side of the U.S. Congress, Senate leader Mitch McConnell said House Bill HR 1644 is ‘Dead On Arrival’.
The bill will block ISPs from throttling traffic, censoring content and imposing unfair fees.

The UK High Court has issued a judgment that could grant Julian Assange limited permission to appeal his extradition to the United States (26 March 2024).
If extradited, Assange faces a sentence of 175 years for exposing war crimes committed by the United States in the Afghan and Iraq wars.
