U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement this week notified Alejandra Juarez that she will be deported (back) to Mexico on 3 August.
Alejandra is the wife of former Marine Sgt. Cuauhtemoc “Temo” Juarez who served with honor including a deployment to Iraq; the couple have two American-born daughters, Pamela, 16 and Estela, 9. Juarez came to the U.S. in 1998 and married Temo Juarez in 2000.
Rep. Darren Soto, (D-FL), working with others to keep the family together, stated:
“Alejandra deserves to stay in the country she has called home for over 20 years, the country her husband patriotically served as a Marine and Florida National Guardsman. The only country her two American-born daughters have known”.
