In Response. The Contrast

“When the armored officers rushed at me, I had no fear. I wasn’t afraid”.

Ieshia Evans shows us what truly is a hero. Evans is facing straight on a large number of heavily-armed cops at a Black Lives Matter protest in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2016 following the shooting by officers from BRPD of 37 year old Alton Sterling.

Evans did not back down when cops told her to leave the area and moments later she was arrested and hauled away.

The Contrast:

The January 6 Committee Hearing on Thursday, 21 July, played Capitol security footage showing Republican senator from Missouri Josh Hawley, who famously in the early afternoon of Jan. 6, 2021, raised a fist to protesters gathered outside, but later running for his safety once those protesters breached the building.

The cowardly running senator was called out on social media and even by his hometown newspapers. The Kansas City Star said Josh Hawley is a laughingstock.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch in its Friday editorial, said Hawley’s run encapsulated his core cowardice and “demonstrated beyond any doubt that Hawley understood, in real time, the physical danger he helped uncork that day.”

The spot on response to Hawley’s cowardice came from former D.C. Police officer Michael Fanone, who came close to being a murder victim while defending the Capitol, elected officials, like Hawley, and staff.
