We already knew that a large number of Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives had tried to overturn the free and fair election of 2020; and some continue this treasonous act to this day.
Members like Jim Jordan of Ohio, Paul Gosar and Mo Brooks of Arizona have spent hours on cable news, social media, anti-social media declaring their support to their dear leader (the former guy).
But, we didn’t really know to what extent they were willing to go in their anti-democratic moves to keep the former guy in the oval office.
Until now. A blockbuster investigative report at The New York Times reveals how far a cabal of right-wing, anti-democracy members went, were willing to go, to overturn the election.

They bombarded the Justice Department with dubious claims of voting irregularities. They pressured members of state legislatures to conduct audits that would cast doubt on the election results. They plotted to disrupt the certification on Jan. 6 of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s victory.
The group settled on a strategy that would become a blueprint for Mr. Trump’s supporters in Congress: Hammer home the idea that the election was tainted, announce legal actions being taken by the campaign, and bolster the case with allegations of fraud.
