Colin Powell, four-star general, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, US secretary of state, has died from complications from Covid-19 aged 84. He was treated at Walter Reed national medical centre. He was fully vaccinated against coronavirus.
His death was announced by his family on Monday: we have lost a “remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great American.”
