81M To 1. 1 Wins

Joe Biden won the 2020 election with over 81.2 million votes; by far the most votes cast for any presidential candidate in U.S. history.

That’s great.

So, how come President Biden and his administration go to such extremes to appease the leader of corporate Dems, Joe Manchin? The answer is written in headlines.

Corporate media identifies Manchin as a conservative Democrat, a moderate Democrat, a rogue Democrat, but never call him the self-obsessed right-winger that he is.

There can be no doubt Manchin cares very little about anything but his corporate sponsors and the media image that he alone can and will stop the Biden agenda.

Manchin says he is a champion of the working people, but insists the Biden agenda focuses too much on ‘the working people’; and insists that the Biden agenda be scaled back.

The Senator from West Virginia, however, does not say a word about making almost $5 million from his family’s coal business since being elected to the Senate in 2010.

Manchin, also, does not say a word about the praise rested upon him by an ExxonMobil lobbyist for his efforts to undermine climate action legislation; The coal-money Senator from West Virginia was the “chief architect of the energy-related measures in the [climate] bill, which progressives have criticized for prioritizing fossil fuels over renewables”.

The bottom line is Joe Manchin loves being the media-image Joe Manchin. And he has reached the point where he believes, and loves, his own press. A few current loves:
