
U.S. Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky), at times called ‘Moscow Mitch’ – and this is one of those times, has filibustered voting rights legislation, halted a pay gap measure, threatened to block a supreme court nominee and now is determined to block the much hailed bipartisan infrastructure deal agreed upon by 5 Democrats, 5 Republicans and had President Biden shouting out loud while standing in the driveway at the White House, ‘We have a deal”.

Republicans don’t like it when voting is easy for U.S. citizens. Because, as we all know, when casting a vote is unrestricted, Democrats out-vote Republicans.

I think the American people are quite focused on how we’re getting work done on their behalf – less focused on the mechanics of the process.
Now, it is up to Republicans… to decide if they are going to vote against a historic investment in infrastructure that’s going to rebuild roads and railways and bridges in their communities simply because they don’t like the mechanics of the process.
