America. Police State, For Some

“It is very hard not to see some fundamental contradictions in how our country, the state, wields force against its citizens”. Chris Hayes comparing police responses in Black Lives Matter protests and the Capitol riot.

The ten minute segment presented by journalist Chris Hayes on his MSNBC 8pm program, at times hard to watch, makes clear America is a police state, for some of its citizens only.

If there is any doubt, if you don’t believe what your eyes and ears tell you today, be reminded of this:

An avowed white supremacist walked in to a Black church, sat in the church, listened to parishioners’ Bible study. Moments later, when parishioners were holding hands in a circle praying, the white man stood up, took out a Glock 45, started shooting – fired 70 rounds, killing nine.

The white supremacist, the mass murderer, left the church and casually drove away in his car.

When police found the murderer, sitting in his car, a police officer walked up to the driver’s door but before opening the door re-holstered his gun. As that police officer opens the car door, helps the man out of the car, dash cam video shows several other police officers backing away, letting the one police officer handcuff the man.

Once in the local jail, the white supremacist, murderer of nine Black Americans in church, asked for and was brought a warm meal from a fast food restaurant.

United States of America!
