The Smart Ones? Really?

 

Humans solve problems by adding levels of difficulty to the solution, even when it’s against our best interests; and we think that makes us the smart ones.

Aaah, maybe not so much.

A recent paper in the journal Nature reveals this tendency to add rather than subtract when faced with problems reaches all aspects of our daily lives, both large and small.

Furthermore, say the researchers, “It’s a tendency that may have especially wide-reaching implications for the realm of public policy”.
